Queen of Safou – Cameroon

Jérôme Duminil and Marie-Louise Avana, a teacher and researcher at the University of Dschang in Cameroon, are working on the sustainable management of the genetic resources of the safou tree, an iconic fruit tree in Central Africa.

This podcast from the Micro Frictions series broadcast on RFI introduces us to the social and cultural importance of the safou tree through the encounter between Gloria and Joyce at the foot of this tree.

Rootstock breeding

Léran, CoffeeAdapt team). The workshop focused on the challenges of rootstock breeding to enhance the resilience of fruit trees in Europe and tropical regions.
