The UMR Sustainability Working Group, with support from the audiovisual department, has produced a video project highlighting how IRD scientists are responding to the social and environmental emergency. Six scientists share their experiences, illustrating the diversity of their awareness and forms of engagement.
Thibaut Bontpart (MADE team) will coordinate the ANR JCJC proVISION project (2026–2030), which aims to identify the genetic determinants of carotene (provitamin A) content and composition in oil palm fruit. This multidisciplinary project involves partners from the DIADE and AGAP joint research units, as well as the National Institute of Agricultural Research of Benin (INRAB).
Several initiatives, including two petitions, have been launched to raise awareness about the possible merger of the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).
