As part of the ANR SorDrought project, coordinated by L. Laplaze, members of the CERES team (A. Grondin and MS Ndoye) participated in the phenotyping of sorghum roots from October 27 to 31 at the CNRA in Bambey (Senegal). This project aims to identify the genetic basis of root architecture and anatomy in this cereal.
The project is being conducted in collaboration with several partner institutions
-
ISRA/CERAAS (Senegal),
-
IER (Mali),
-
CIRAD (UMR AGAP),
-
and the University of Nottingham (Great Britain).
The mission has enabled progress to be made in characterizing the root traits of sorghum, which is essential for a better understanding of how this crop adapts to drought conditions.
