Founded in 1847, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is one of the cradles of modern engineering in India, where scientific tradition and cutting-edge innovation come together.
As part of their collaboration with Professor Shri Ram Yadav, Pascal Gantet, Stéphane Jouannic, and Mikaël Lucas carried out a mission at IIT Roorkee as part of a joint project on the conservation and divergence in the function and downstream regulatory networks of PLETHORA genes in the control of different branching events in rice (PLETHORA project), funded by the Franco-Indian Center for Advanced Research (CEFIPRA).
This program supports Franco-Indian scientific excellence by supporting high-impact collaborative research projects.
The aim of this mission was to coordinate the research activities and supervision of doctoral students carried out as part of the project, as well as to identify new avenues for collaboration, both in research and student exchanges.
