The MADE team develops integrative biology approaches to characterize the genetic, molecular, and physiological bases of variability in plant chemical traits of major interest to agronomy, ecology, and health.

The key metabolites studied are either involved in plant adaptation to environmental constraints or associated with the nutritional value or medicinal properties of plant products. The main plants studied by the team are palms and coffee plants, but also Mediterranean trees and tropical medicinal plants.

MADE research aims to enhance the value of underutilized plant agrobiodiversity through its chemical richness.
