I am an assistant at the DIADE joint research unit, responsible for the administrative and financial management of some of the research teams that make up the unit, for executing and monitoring the unit’s overall budget (IRD, CIRAD, and the University of Montpellier), and for coordinating external financial resources.

I study the long-term interactions between plants, societies, and the environment, combining archaeology, ethnobotany, agroecology, and genetics. Bontpart Thibaut

My research focuses on the biosynthesis of triacylglycerols and lipid vitamins (tocochromanols, carotenoids) in the oil palm fruit, and on the quality of the red palm oil produced from the fruit. I investigate the genetic and environmental factors that modulate their biosynthesis, using transcriptomic, biochemical, and microscopic approaches.
