The Coffea Biological Resource Center (BRC Coffea) manages a living collection of global importance, bringing together more than 600 genotypes from 31 wild species.
These species are representative of the diversity of the genus Coffea across a large part of its original range (Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Republic of Congo, Tanzania, La Réunion, Mayotte, and Mauritius).
The collection is located in La Réunion, near Saint-Pierre, and secured in a seed cryobank in Montpellier.
