The management of the UMR DIADE is carried out by representatives from each of our supervising institutions: the Unit Director, Yves Vigouroux (IRD), and the Deputy Unit Directors, Hervé Etienne (Cirad) and Pascal Gantet (University of Montpellier).
The Director sets the agenda for the two main bodies that oversee all aspects of the UMR’s operations: the Unit Council (Conseil d’unité, CU) and the Management Board (Conseil de direction, Codir).
The Codir is composed of the unit’s management team and the leaders of each research group. Working groups formed within the unit are also represented on the Codir. The Codir addresses general issues and makes decisions on various aspects of the unit’s life, from strategy (such as recruitment) to budgeting. The Unit Council represents all personnel of the UMR. It consists of elected and appointed members drawn from researchers, engineers, technicians, and students. Its role is to advise management on all matters concerning the unit, including organization, budget, human resources, investments, and health and safety.
