My research focuses on the genetic diversity, evolution, and adaptability to environmental variations of tree species of agronomically important importance or keystone species of tropical forest ecosystems. In particular, within the context of the Réunion Island, and with a view to preserving and enhancing the island’s natural resources, my work focuses on species characteristic of the rainforest, as well as on endemic medicinal species with high potential.
