My research focuses on the molecular physiology mechanisms of drought tolerance in coffee, in wild genetic diversity and commercial varieties. It is linked to breeding programs to develop climate-resilient varieties in order to sustainably improve production and quality.
Based in Uganda, I conduct field studies and collaborate in East Africa and Southeast Asia, while performing ecophysiological analyses in response to drought..
