I am conducting a research project on the identification and functional analysis of genes involved in the root architecture of coffee plants and their potential role in drought adaptation. My work combines genetic transformation via Agrobacterium rhizogenes, cloning and expression of candidate genes, and root phenotyping in greenhouses and under controlled conditions.
