Partenariats

DIADE’s commitment to countries in the Global South is reflected in numerous projects developed jointly with our partners across the intertropical zone. It is also supported by a number of collaborative research initiatives set up by two of our supervisory bodies, IRD and CIRAD:

  • International Joint Laboratories (IJL, IRD) are long-term collaborations (up to 10 years) between various IRD joint research units and laboratories in the Global South to work on a specific research question;
  • Young Teams Associated with IRD (JEAI, IRD) support the emergence or strengthening of research teams in partner countries;
  • Priority Research and Training Partnerships (dP, CIRAD) aim to respond to address specific development challenges through research, innovation, and training;
  • International Research Networks (IRN, IRD) are networks of French and foreign laboratories working on a research topic related to sustainable development;
  • Structuring Training Projects in the South (PSF, IRD) contribute to training and support the strengthening of educational programmes in partner countries.
